Epcot Food and Wine Festival 2017

The Food and Wine Festival at Epcot starts tomorrow (August 31, 2017) and will be there for six weeks ending on November 13, 2017.

The Food and Wine Festival is located at the World Showcase in Epcot. Not only will there be food and wine but there will also be demonstrations, seminars, talks and special guests.

Global Marketplaces

There will be 35 kiosks setup for the event which include countries outside of the normal 11 countries around World Showcase such as Thailand, Patagonia, Scotland, New Zealand and more.

I am a chocolate lover so for me I’m most excited about The Chocolate Studio! The Chocolate Studio will have:

  • Food
  • Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey-Caramel (GF)
  • Sweet Dark Chocolate Raspberry Torte with Whipped Cream and Raspberry Dust
  • Beverages
  • Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles
  • Banfi Rosa Regale, Piedmont
  • Lenotti Recioto della Valpolicella, Italy

Eat to the Beat Concert Series

There will be live entertainment for the “Eat to the Beat Concert Series” which includes artist such as Baha Men, Sister Hazel, Air Supply, Sugar Ray, Boys II Men and more.

All-New for 2017

For those of you who have been to the Food and Wine Festival before fear not because Disney has some new things in store for 2017 to keep the festival fresh. There will be new menus, chefs, entertainment and more to make 2017 a fresh new experience.

Festival Center Happenings

There will be many happenings during the event.

Back to Basics are mini sessions given by culinary pros to help teach you how to make your meals the best tehy can be. They will be giving tips, tricks and techniques to help you be the best cook you can be.

Make sure to check the dates as to which topic will be hosted on a given day as they vary from coffee, produce to chocolate.

There will be book signings, bottle signings, “behind-the-vines” look at wine making, merchandise (Festival Cookbooks, apparel, artwork and more), wine shop, crash courses on culinary arts given by the pros from ABC’s The Chew, and a Ghirardelli Chocolate experience.

Cheese Seminars

During the cheese seminars you can learn from the pros about how cheese is made, the different aromas of cheese and sample artisanal cheeses paired with complimentary wines. This is a great way to learn about which cheeses go with what wines and why as well as learn about the various regions the cheeses come from.

Check for times and dates on the cheese seminars. There is a cost (around $89 per guest) on some of these seminars.

Culinary Demonstrations

Take a 45 minute demonstration lesson from professional chefs for around $17 per guest.

Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!

Curious about mixology and how speciality drinks are made? This is the event for you. Get hands-on lessons from the pros.

“What’s Cookin’ With…”

This is a celebration of global cuisine showcase as you dine with various VIP’s in the culinary arts. Each chef with share their favorites as you get to listen to tips, tricks and insights from the pros.

Cost is around $129 per Guest.

Beverage Seminars

A wine tasting run by sommeliers and beverage experts. They will share their vast knowledge as you get to taste popular wines.

Costs about $17 per Guest.

Special Guests at Epcot

ABC’s The CHEW – Live from the Festival!

Live from Epcot the cast from ABC’s The CHEW will be there to deliver a crash course in teh culinary arts.
